Having retired from many years in software engineering, followed by five years of voluntary service, I spent almost a year renovating my house. All done, an ongoing hobby was essential to keep my mind occupied. Working with wood 'turned' out to be the ticket...!
To become a professional wood turner takes more practice, but just making things and giving them away is not all satisfying either. Until the time I decide to earn a few pennies, I will get satisfaction by just displaying how the wood revels itself to me...!
